Odd Behavior?

Gary Suson, a.k.a Gary Marlon Suson, a.k.a Marlon Suson, founder of the Ground Zero Museum Workshop in the Meatpacking district and the website SeptemberEleven.net, is no different than many other people who have found themselves suddenly thrust into the role of being a limited public figure: his behavior can focus unwanted attention upon himself. With the ever-widening scope of the internet, and its endless multitude of databases, communications that are made in haste can often come back to haunt. A simple Google search of Gary Suson brings up some surprising results. Odd behavior by Suson? Well, that's up to you, the reader, to decide.

Gary Suson vs. Trip Advisor

Angered by the opinions posted by members of the message board on Trip Advisor, Suson engages in a verbal battle with the members.

It's unfortunate, but Trip Advisor has a policy of removing contrary posts, however, Suson's scathing reply to a poster named "Alice" was copied and sent to us:

Hi Alice,

I see you are up to your old tricks again. I figured it'd be about 2 weeks til' you resurfaced with your cronies. Regarding your query about the proprietor "living in the unit." If you must know, I sleep in the bathtub, but sometimes I sleep standing up in Artifacts Area #1. That can get painful, so the corner of the museum by the rusted rake & ground zero gravel is quite cozy also, but the smell of the dirt can be a bit much at times. Living there is hard as I must sometimes start campfires in the middle of the museum floor but I have been known to grill up a mean smoky link. For those of you reading, Alice knows me personally and has personal issue me and the Museum and uses the TA forum with her pals to discredit us. I have had the displeasure of reading some of these "posts", otherwise known as hate attacks against a 9-11 charity, but some are quite entertaining. I didn't realize how famous and important I am to "some" of you all on a saturday night. For that, I Thank you. I'm honored. Today was a long day at GZMW and we raised $500.00 for a special charity. I'm very tired but I wanted to respond to this.

Yes, we are a 501c3 registered charity with the IRS and the State of New York. I wish we could charge more that $25 for a two hour tour, which is quite cheap when there is almost nothing in NYC you can do for two full hours for $25, from a circle line tour, to the empire state building to a broadway play. We are quite reasonable. I hate to break it to you, but we aren't going out of business anytime soon. Why? Because visitors from abroad as well as those directly impacted by the events of 9/11 love and adore us for what we do. I hate to break it to you, but people are not dumb. If anyone was naive enough to believe your comments and chose not to visit us, I would not even blink an eye. I would just feel bad for them. They'd be missing out. The reason we are ranked high is because we provide an experience that is unparalleled in New York City for connecting to the Ground Zero Recovery.

About that "summary judgment.." Well, we weren't being sued. WE were doing the suing of that tabloid paper. Just because we lost a lower court summary judgment decision that favored the tabloid paper does not add up to anything. That case is not over. It is currently under appeal in NY State Supreme Court. Newspapers are protected well under first amendment law, so they often get away with printing lies about people and organizations. That's what happened here.

Anyway, I am going to go curl up in the Museum with my snuggie next to a big piece of steel. So cozy to live there.

Night.

Suson's comments on "Summary Judgment" are not true. Motions by both Suson and the NY Post requested a ruling of summary in their, respective favor. The Honorable Judge Shlomo Hagler, in his decision, granted summary judgment to the NY Post.
